Getting around Downtown, and all of Missoula, has many options for locals and visitors alike. With Zero-Fare bus service, ample parking, and many miles of trails suitable for biking and walking, traveling from one Downtown destination to the next is quick and easy! Sustainable options for getting to and from Downtown during Roots Fest:

• Mountain Line: Missoula’s community bus service provides Zero-fare fixed-route bus and paratransit service in and around Missoula and the University of Montana. More info available in the tab to the left.
• Biking: Biking is a large part of Missoula culture. Relatively flat, much of the city is laid out in a grid and has many facilities to support bike travel. More info available in the tab to the left.
• Walking: Getting downtown on foot is easier than you might think. Missoula’s extensive system of shared-use paths and Neighborhood Greenways make for a pleasant way to build in some healthy activity while getting to your destination. Use the Interactive Trails Map for walking routes into downtown. If you do drive into Downtown Missoula, you can get to many destinations by foot and should only have to park once.
